Conditions:Sunny, some high cloud, glorious.

Lunch break - a quick ascent of Win Hill - for the statisticians, it's a sub-Marilyn and therefore a HuMP. For a hill of relatively small stature it is a real win-ner, the view from the top is magnificent and the rocky outcrop is well worth a clamber.

A plethora of signage. Time for a breather after the steep ascent via Parkin Clough.

Win Hill Summit (& trig point)

Looking west towards Lose Hill. My route of ascent was deserted but it was like a motorway with numerous walkers approaching the summit from the west.

Looking towards the east, Stanage Edge?

Think this is a view towards Crook Hill.

This looked like a large sink hole!
